Have you ever wondered why women pay a fortune for shoes?
Well I did, being a cheapskate. I always bought the cheapest pair I could find that served the purpose I needed. Then I would complain that my feet hurt and that they never lasted longer than a couple of months. I would then repeat the cycle again and again.
Then I realized something. More expensive equals not only better quality and longer lasting shoes, but less foot pain and more comfort. Even taking in to account repairs for damage or wear on the pair of shoes it still costs less than buying a new pair of shoes every couple of months.

Do you have a home office? A place to call your own, to sit down in an environment you like while working? Well at my house we do not. However in my house my husband and I both operate small online businesses. So having home offices is a dream.
Up until now he has had a designated desk/office area and I have been literally working off my lap. My laptop and I do all the work from my lap on my couch. My body is not been happy. That is until I inherited my great grandparent’s wood desk and chair.
Now the challenging part, decorating and making the area of the family room my own. Since getting the desk I have been looking for the perfect lamp and accessories for it. After months of searching I found many beautiful lamps at Capitol Lighting. With so many options it took me awhile to decide on a style that showed my personality yet went with the overall décor of the room. The Hudson Valley line had both, exactly I was looking for, so I decided on the Deyo 22 inch table lamp. The next step was what finish, yep more choices, I ended up choosing the old bronze finish with a white faux silk shade.
It is a traditional mission style is going to look great on my antique wood desk. The lamp also comes in Aged Brass,

Yummy Brownies! Need I say more, actually I do...
I have to tell you about Fairytale Gourmet Brownies, my family just fell in love with them. They come in a lovely box and each brownie is individually packaged. Now you may be thinking these would taste like store bought, these are FAR from store bought. We received a box of assorted brownies. Pecan, Peanut Butter, Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Original and White Chocolate.
I was barely able to sample any of them, they we eaten, packed away for school and work lunches super fast! I managed to stash a few in the back of the cupboard to savor my self. I have to say my favorite is the Caramel brownie, but all of them were very yummy, like fresh out of the oven yumminess!!! Fairytale brownies can be easily ordered online and shipping was really quick. These brownies are definitely for sharing perfect this holidays. Priced at $3 each they are worth every penny!
